Who is Sylvia ? A real Belgian making Belgian Waffles? That's probably an understatement. The result of this effort unfolds before your eyes. Here are authentic Belgian waffles baked and delivered fresh to your door or Culture clash. Let's be clear, in Belgium, waffles aren't just about breakfast or brunch. This is a tough one for we Americans to understand. Belgian waffles are eaten any time of day. Sylvia takes pride in her authentic Belgian waffles, they are made fresh to order,
Sylvia is from Liege, Belgium, birthplace of the waffle and home of the Liege style waffle and many more. This is a region in Belgium where waffles are eaten as a staple food, like bread. There is a waffle stand on every street corner and waffles are incorporated into the daily existence.
In 2004, Sylvia moved from Belgium to America to be with her husband.
She soon found our idea of "Belgian waffles" (you may know what we mean; those large, thick, round, bland tasting waffles advertised as "Belgian Waffles" and sold at stores or restaurants for breakfast or brunch) not to be the sweet tasting traditional variety that most Belgians enjoy.
At the urging of friends and acquaintances who had eaten some of the various Belgian Waffle recipes she had baked for them and found them absolutely delicious, she decided to introduce the "Authentic" Belgian waffle to the people of the Clearwater, Fl area.

We aren't talking about the kind of waffles you had at brunch either,
but those in the best tradition of Belgium, sweet common and authentic Liege waffles, the "real deal" if you wish to call it that.
Granted, it's true, Sylvia's Waffles do make the perfect breakfast. But as many in the Pinellas and Hillsborough region are discovering each week at market,
authentic Belgian Waffles in the classic Belgian Tradition are really the perfect anytime snack, meal or treat for any time of day!!
Sylvia's Authentic Belgian Waffles are a classic European snack,
to be eaten warm or cold by hand.
They are sweet to the taste with or without toppings.
Just unwrap it and enjoy!
